Artista del Panino” Competition Final 2024

“Artista del Panino” is a competition promoted by Vandemoortele, dedicated to creativity in the gourmet sandwich world. The final took place at Spazio Parco Milano, where eight finalists competed in front of journalists and food bloggers.

The competition unfolded in two stages: the preparation and presentation of each contestant’s recipe to the jury, followed by a head-to-head final challenge using a mystery box, designed to test creativity and improvisation skills. The jury—composed of Andrea Mainardi, the “Atomic Chef” known for his explosive and creative cuisine, Roberto Barat, coordinator of Ristoranti magazine, and Luca Cesari, food historian—evaluated the entries based on taste, presentation, and originality.

The day also featured a showcooking session by Luca Cesari, who prepared and narrated the history of the first sandwich, attributed to Lord Sandwich, offering the audience an engaging historical and gastronomic insight.

The agency handled the entire organizational process, including location scouting, jury selection, supplier coordination, logistical planning, definition of the operational agenda, as well as the direction and setup of the workstations where the eight finalists competed with creativity and flavor.
