TravelDesk organizes the Artista del Panino 2024 semifinal for Vandemoortele

TravelDesk oversaw the organization of the semifinal of the ninth edition of the Artista del Panino contest, an event celebrating creativity and passion for the culinary arts.

The competition took place on Tuesday, November 26, at the stunning venue Le Cisterne del Ducale in Genoa. The TravelDesk team worked closely with Vandemoortele, an international leader in the frozen bakery sector with flagship brands Agritech and Lanterna, managing every organizational detail to create a memorable experience for both participants and guests.

The semifinal brought together 30 baristas and industry professionals from all over Italy, who competed for one of the eight coveted passes granting access to the final in February 2025. Contestants tested their skills in crafting the perfect sandwich, using Agritech artisanal bread specialties and Lanterna focaccia. Their creations were evaluated by an expert jury made up of renowned chefs, influencers, and food bloggers, who assessed each sandwich based on several criteria, including originality, balance of flavors, speed of preparation, and presentation.

Thanks to TravelDesk’s commitment, it was possible to create an engaging atmosphere designed to fully showcase participants’ skills and offer guests a truly unique experience.
