The integration between TravelDesk and Fieschi Travel—a historic travel agency brand already part of ESA Group and active in the business and marine travel segments—gives rise to a new, larger, more specialized, and more competitive organization, set to play a leading role in the Italian market for corporate travel and event management.
This transaction marks the beginning of the merger between two companies that have been operating for over thirty years and share a growth-oriented vision focused on synergy and service innovation. The two agencies will progressively merge into a single entity within ESA Group, Italy’s leading independent player in the ship management sector.
“This represents the natural evolution of two entrepreneurial stories that share values, vision, and passion for their work. The union between Fieschi Travel and TravelDesk is an extraordinary opportunity to bring together their respective expertise and expand our ability to serve companies with a richer and more structured offering,” commented Gian Enzo Duci, Managing Director of ESA Group. “Strengthened by the contribution of both organizations, the new entity positions itself as one of the leading independent players in the sector. With a total annual turnover in business travel alone exceeding €35 million and a portfolio of over 650 active corporate clients, we will be able to compete on equal footing with Italy’s major Travel Management Companies.”
Thanks to operational synergies and the gradual unification of processes and platforms, the transaction will generate economies of scale and greater purchasing power, translating into direct benefits for clients, who will gain access to more competitive conditions and an even more structured and efficient offering. The operation also paves the way for new international development opportunities, with the goal of progressively expanding presence and services in other strategic markets.
TravelDesk will also continue to represent Italy within the international GlobalStar Travel Management network, active in 55 countries with over 2,500 locations and a total turnover exceeding USD 12 billion. This strategic partnership ensures strong purchasing power and delivers tangible benefits for clients, including more competitive travel programs and MICE projects, exclusive advantages through a global network of partners and suppliers, advanced technological solutions, and the ability to participate as a single entity in international tenders.
“TravelDesk’s entry into ESA Group does not stem from necessity, but from a vision: to build a specialized and competitive hub capable of responding ever more effectively to the mobility and organizational needs of Italian and international companies,” said Mirella Bruschi, Founder of TravelDesk. “The operation aims to enhance the distinctive strengths of both organizations, ensuring continuity in services and points of contact, while strengthening operational capacity, territorial coverage, and contractual leverage with clients and suppliers.”
In this perspective, the transaction is founded on the enhancement of human capital from both organizations, with the goal of growing in terms of resources, skills, and solidity. Continuity and reinforcement will be the guiding principles: teams remain, services evolve, with the aim of pooling best practices from each organization and generating new value for clients, partners, and collaborators.
