From September 18 to 21, 2025, TravelDesk accompanied a selected group of 90 Bionike partner physicians, together with their guests, on an exclusive incentive trip to the heart of Tunisia: Agorà Training 2025. A format designed to combine advanced dermatology training with moments of discovery and local charm, inspired by the spirit of the agora – a place of meeting, sharing, and participation.
The name Agorà Training encapsulates the vision behind the initiative: not a simple lecture, but an invitation to dialogue, exchange, and shared growth. Participants had the opportunity to engage with two leading figures in the international dermatology scene, Prof. Stefano Veraldi and Prof. Mourad Mokni, who led a training session designed to encourage the exchange of professional experiences.
The experience was built around settings of great charm and historical value. The day dedicated to Dougga, a UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site, was one of the most intense moments of the journey: participants walked among the perfectly preserved Roman theatre, the Capitol, the baths, and the forum, experiencing the evocative power of a place that tells over two thousand years of history. Following the visit, a farmhouse lunch and an olive oil tasting under the olive trees offered a moment of authentic conviviality, in a rural setting that brought guests closer to Tunisian agricultural traditions.
Another highlight of the trip was the visit to Sidi Bou Said, the village of blue doors and flower-lined streets overlooking the Bay of Tunis—a place seemingly suspended in time, where participants could immerse themselves in a postcard-perfect atmosphere. The following day, a stop at the National Bardo Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of Roman mosaics, allowed guests to admire masterpieces of ancient art and gain insight into the importance of Tunisia’s cultural heritage.
Gastronomy also played a central role, beginning with the welcome dinner at Dar El Jeld, a jewel nestled among the alleys of the old city: here, amid candlelit courtyards and interiors rich in local craftsmanship, the elegance of Tunisian tradition truly emerged. Equally memorable moments included lunch at Al Makhzen restaurant, set within the sumptuous Palais Bayram, and the final gala dinner. The latter was staged directly on the beach, around a purpose-built stage enhanced by an impressive LED wall that served as a high-tech backdrop for the performances. The evening became a unique show, where dancers, acrobats, and fire performers reinterpreted the atmosphere of One Thousand and One Nights in a contemporary key. A perfect blend of technology and reimagined tradition, delivering an emotional and immersive experience for all guests.
TravelDesk oversaw every aspect of the event: from the creative concept and its graphic development to location scouting and program design, through to logistics management and organizational coordination via a dedicated digital platform. A bespoke project created for Bionike, seamlessly combining training, culture, and meaningful connections into a truly memorable experience.
